How to set up a DayZ killfeed in Discord

A killfeed is the quickest way to make a Discord feel alive. Every PvP kill on your server appears in a channel with the killer, the victim, the weapon and the distance. Blxckforge builds it from the logs your Nitrado server already keeps, so it works on PlayStation and Xbox as well as PC.

1. Connect your Nitrado server

Create a free Blxckforge account and connect Nitrado. You sign in through Nitrado and approve access, so Blxckforge never sees your password. Your servers appear on the Servers page.

2. Add the bot to your Discord

Open your server, choose the Discord tab and pick your Discord server. Add the Blxckforge bot. For feeds it only needs to view channels, send messages and embed links.

3. Pick a channel and switch the killfeed on

Choose a default channel, then open the Killfeed card, pick its channel and switch it on. The card says Active once it's ready.

Use Send test to post a sample marked TEST, or Send latest event to post the newest real kill. Feeds only post new events, so turning one on never floods the channel with old ones.

4. Add the other free feeds

While you're there, the same tab has more feeds you can switch on:

  • Death feed: every other death, labelled by cause
  • Joins and leaves
  • Server status changes
  • A weekly leaderboard, with hourly, daily and monthly ones on paid plans
  • On the Server and Pro plans: picture cards, faster posting, hits, base alarms, combat logging alerts and your own custom feeds

Common questions

Does the killfeed work on PS5 and Xbox?

Yes. It reads the admin log Nitrado keeps for PlayStation, Xbox and PC servers, so there are no mods to install. Console logs don't include chat, so chat feeds aren't available there.

How fast do kills appear?

Blxckforge reads the log every couple of minutes. Free feeds post in five-minute batches; paid plans post every two minutes.

Is the killfeed free?

Yes, for one server. The killfeed, death feed, joins and leaves, server status and a weekly leaderboard are all free.

The bot can't post in my channel. What do I do?

Give the Blxckforge bot or its role View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links on that channel, then refresh the channel list.
