Events Editor
Vehicles, heli crashes, animals and infected: counts, timings, flags and children in events.xml.
What it works with
`events.xml` in your mission's db folder runs DayZ's dynamic events: vehicles, helicopter and police crashes, animals, infected hordes and loot piles, with how many exist, how long they last and what they spawn. Where they can appear is set separately in `cfgeventspawns.xml`.
What Events Editor does
- Filter events by vehicles, crashes, animals, infected and loot, or show only the active ones
- Edit nominal, min and max, lifetime, restock and the safe, distance and cleanup radii
- Set flags, position and limit, a secondary event, and the children each event spawns with their counts and loot
- Add, duplicate or remove events, and scale counts for a whole category at once
- Catch min above max, negative or fractional counts, unknown positions and limits, and duplicate event names
- Never touches cfgeventspawns.xml, and only rewrites the events you change
- On the Server and Pro plans: load from your Nitrado server and save back with a diff, confirmation and automatic backup
Who it's for
Server owners tuning how many cars, heli crashes, animals and infected their map has.
Getting started
Open or paste your events.xml in your browser and download the result, free. Loading from and saving to your Nitrado server is part of the Server and Pro plans.
Common questions
How do I get more cars on my DayZ server?
Raise the nominal (and min) of the vehicle events, such as VehicleCivilianSedan, in events.xml, then restart. The Vehicles filter shows them all together.
How do I get more helicopter crashes?
Raise the nominal of the heli crash event in events.xml. Where crashes can appear is set in cfgeventspawns.xml, which the editor leaves alone.
Is the Events Editor free?
Yes. Opening, editing and downloading events.xml is free. Loading from and saving to your Nitrado server is part of the Server and Pro plans.
